- New article that was created on 25 March 2022 is 4,411 characters and nominated one day later. No copyvios detected (AGF all refs re. any close paraphrasing issues, since none can go through Dup detector). Article is well-sourced. Hook is 135 characters long (under 200 character max.) and is interesting. Refs 26 and 30 (verifying the hook) are reliable sources. QPQ done. Image is free and in the public domain. Looks good to go! —Bloom6132 (talk) 03:25, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Bloom6132: - Thanks for your prompt review. When I used Earwigs Copyvio Detector the sources used, all of which have url addresses, including Stern, 1951, and Bagg, 1892, worked for me. In any case, let me assure you that any similarities in text only involve names and titles, and a couple of short general phrases. Appreciate the AGF in any case. Once again , many thanks. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 17:31, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Gwillhickers: you're very welcome! I use both Earwig and WMFLabs Dup detector (the one immediately above Earwig in the DYK toolbox) when reviewing DYK noms. Unfortunately, I've been getting a 503 error for the past month when trying to use the latter. It wasn't significant with this nom, as there were only one source (the Utica Public Library ref) that could go through WMFLabs (which can't process PDF scans). —Bloom6132 (talk) 18:48, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- sorry to butt in again, but weren't there lots of colonels in the War of 1812? is this one because williams was a publisher? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 23:08, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
