Wardell (band)

[edit]

Wardell at Jubilee Music & Arts Festival, Los Angeles, June 7, 2013

  • ... that Sasha and Theo Spielberg of the indie folk band Wardell (pictured) wrote the song that brought them national visibility quickly, "like, in an hour"?

Created by Czar (talk). Self nominated at 15:57, 19 October 2013 (UTC).

  • Article new and long enough; hook interesting and hook fact confirmed from online source; no copyvio detected. Image is appropriately licensed. Sasata (talk) 17:35, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Pulling out of the prep area because nothing in the sources indicates that they have achieved fame yet. Need a different way to express what they have achieved. --Orlady (talk) 15:11, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Fame: "the state of being known by many people". Is this not true? Sasata (talk) 15:17, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
I think the source has been misinterpreted. The quote "like, in an hour" refers to how long it took them to put together their first song – not how long it took to gain national exposure and get signed to a record label. DoctorKubla (talk) 15:50, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, all. Updated hook. I think the song and the ascent to fame (read: national renown) are used metonymically here, but the new phrasing is clearer. czar  18:48, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
  • Czar's edits to the hook resolve my concerns about it. --Orlady (talk) 20:33, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
