Vanuatu at the 2004 Summer Olympics

[edit]
  • ... that at the 2004 Athens Games, both of Vanuatu's athletes finished last in their heats but achieved seasonal best times?

  • Article was recently promoted to GA (12 May). Article is certainly long enough, it is also general well-sourced with inline citations. However, I have some issues (my apologies if I overlooked anything that is actually sourced): For example I don't see the content that should back up claims of source 3 (the text between: The Vanuatu National....two representatives in the Summer Olympics). This sentence needs a better citation as well: "The two athletes that were selected to compete in the Athens games were Moses Kamut in the Men's 400 meters and Katura Marae in the Women's 100 meters." The source currently is the general page on Vanuatu at the 2004 Athina Summer Games, which lists the sporters under the sport athletics, not the specific distances. For this sentence: "She qualified for the Athens Games after being granted a wildcard place, without competing in any notable sporting event". The source does not mention wildcard. I'm also missing the citation for this sentence: "Overall, Marae was 2.06 seconds behind the slowest athlete that progressed, therefore not advancing to the quarter-finals" I also have problems checking.
No copyviolations found. Hook format, neutrality and length is good. I think the ALT hook would be more interesting if you would add the age, but the first hook is a better representation of the contents of the article. Your choice. QPQ not yet needed.Crispulop (talk) 22:19, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
@Crispulop: I will get to these issues once I have the time. Thanks for reviewing. Good888 (talk) 11:52, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Good888, it has been over four weeks since the original review, and well over three since your reply. There needs to be action on the issues soon, or the nomination will be facing closure. I do hope you can give this your attention in the next few days. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:53, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
  • I pinged Good888's talk page with the above news, and got a reply that there hasn't been much time for Wikipedia editing of late. It concluded, Hence, it's with regret that I will have to withdraw the nomination. I'm therefore marking this submission for closure as unsuccessful, as it is being withdrawn.
