Umaid Bhawan Palace

[edit]
Umaid Bhawan Palace
Umaid Bhawan Palace
  • ... that when the Umaid Bhawan Palace (pictured) opened its gilded doors in 1943 it was considered as one of the largest royal residences in the world?

  • @Nvvchar: I strongly prefer ALT1 and would suggest you strike the main hook, as "gilded" is non-neutral and "considered" as one of the largest royal residences is a bizarre wording, as it either is or it isn't. For ALT1, everything is good to go, as the image is fine and free, the hook is cited, interesting, and neutral, and the hook meets formatting guidelines. 5x expansion accepted. Once again, good to go for ALT1 only. Johanna (formerly BenLinus1214)talk to me!see my work 02:41, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
  • @Nvvchar: I think the hook would be stronger if you add that it provided employment to "thousands" of farmers. That fact would need an inline cite in the article. Yoninah (talk) 21:49, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
  • Yoninah Thanks for the review suggestion. Here is the Alt2 hook:
  • ALT2: ... that the Umaid Bhawan Palace (pictured) was constructed in 1928 to assist famine-stricken farmers by employing 2,000 to 3,000 people as builders?Nvvchar. 02:17, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I tweaked the hook per the source. Hook ref verified and cited inline. ALT2 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 09:45, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
