@Ceradon: New enough, long enough, meets core content policies. The source only seems to say that it was the first capture of the Quasi-War, not the first capture in history. Granted, the Navy only formed four days before the start of the Quasi-War, but still it's best to be completely sure of these things. --Jakob (talk) 14:58, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Jakec: This source states it as the "new navy's first prize" (p. 83). This note in the FA USS Constellation vs L'Insurgente also states it as such. I've replaced the current sources with the Footner p. 83 source. Hope that helps. Thanks, --ceradon (talk • contribs) 22:22, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
