Created by Staberinde (talk), Catlemur (talk), and Rastakwere (talk). Nominated by Staberinde (talk) at 21:21, 3 July 2021 (UTC).
- I agree with the nomination, could be better formulated as ALT1 (Rastakwere (talk) 04:11, 4 July 2021 (UTC))
- I read an article on this chap a few days ago and thought he was quite interesting. I went to start an article on him and was pleasantly surprised to see one had already been created, good work. Review follows: article created 1 July; sources look to be reliable; well written (I've made some grammar related changes) and cited inline throughout; I've switched one bit of overly close paraphrasing to a direct quote; hooks are interesting but I think "currently commanding Tigray Forces" paints him as the commander in chief, when the article says he is "part of its central military command". Can you suggest an alternative phrasing? I also note the infobox claims he fought in the Ogaden insurgency but this is not mentioned in the article - Dumelow (talk) 06:01, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Forgot to ping: Staberinde - Dumelow (talk) 06:02, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Dumelow: How about ALT2 hook? As for Ogaden insurgency, I believe that the cross border raid into Somalia mentioned in the article would be considered part of that conflict.--Staberinde (talk) 07:45, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks Staberinde, that works for me - Dumelow (talk) 08:00, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
- Fine with me; however the proces how to get it actually published as DYK on the main page is unclear to me. Rastakwere (talk) 05:44, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Rastakwere: Only one approval is needed. DYK process is that currently the article is waiting in Template talk:Did you know/Approved, eventually some admin picks it up and adds it to queue Template:Did you know/Queue, and then it will reach to the main page after its turn comes. There is nothing more here to do for us at the moment except wait.--Staberinde (talk) 08:31, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
