The Now Now

[edit]
  • ... that the upcoming Gorillaz album The Now Now was produced quickly so that the band would have more material to play at concerts? Source: "We've been very lucky to be offered all the festivals this year on the back of the last record ... but I didn't want to do that unless I had something new to work with, so the only option was to make another record really quickly..." (from interview with Radio X)

Created by MadethisforGorillaz (talk). Nominated by Philroc (talk) at 15:58, 1 June 2018 (UTC).

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: No - The hook should be cited in-line to a source, directly after the sentence (not just at the end of the paragraph).
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: None required.

Invalid status "n" - use one of "y", "?", "maybe", "no" or "again"

@SounderBruce: The hook is properly cited. In the article, the quote is one full sentence that has a citation at the end. PhilrocMy contribs 17:33, 3 June 2018 (UTC)
See DYK criterion 3(b): Each fact in the hook must be supported in the article by at least one inline citation to a reliable source, appearing no later than the end of the sentence(s) offering that fact. Citations at the end of the paragraph are not sufficient. SounderBruce 00:25, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
Also, the hook and article have different wordings: "new material to play at upcoming festivals" (article) and "would have more material to play at concerts" (hook). It needs to be an exact match from a reliable source. SounderBruce 00:26, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
@SounderBruce: As I have stated already, the quote the fact comes from is one full sentence with a citation at the end, making the hook properly cited.
New hook to fix the wording problem:
  • ALT1: ... that the upcoming Gorillaz album The Now Now was produced quickly so that the band would have more new material to play at upcoming festivals?
PhilrocMy contribs 00:41, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
@SounderBruce: Just realized what you meant. I have edited the article to push the citation over to the sentence with the fact. The new hook still stands. PhilrocMy contribs 00:53, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
ALT1 is good to go. SounderBruce 01:18, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
