Symphonic Prelude (Bruckner)
[edit]- ... that the Symphonic Prelude was first performed in 1981 as a work by Gustav Mahler and in 1997 as a work by Anton Bruckner?

- Although the Mahler part of the hook is acceptable, the Bruckner part is less clear. The 1997 paragraph in the article, in the section called "The truth?", does not mention Bruckner by name. I think his name will need to be mentioned and cited in the same sentence as the 1997 first performance to support the hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 11:51, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
- I propose to amend it as follows: "... not everyone became convinced that the piece was originated by Bruckner and so the "controversial" piece remained rarely performed. The original orchestration was performed first ...". OK so? --Réginald alias Meneerke bloem (To reply) 09:15, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
- That seems satisfactory. This article is new enough and long enough and the hook facts are now sourced. The article is neutral but the sources are largely unavailable to me so I was unable to assess whether there are any copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:14, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
