Overall: I like ALT1 but it's just occurring to me that folks might think it means deadly to humans rather than deadly to the coral. Maybe a combo of the two? Perhaps ALT2? But I'm definitely open to other wording. Or just using ALT0. Nice job Cwmhiraeth, interesting and valuable entry! Innisfree987 (talk) 17:27, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
@Innisfree987: Thanks for the review. I have added ALT1b so as to get around the point you raised. ALT2 is OK but does not really emphasize the seriousness of the position. There are other coral diseases, but this one seems particularly devastating. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:49, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
Yeah I agree, the interesting part is how serious this is. Apologies that as a non-scientist, I still might not be totally clear with 1b on whether it's a disease that kills corals or a disease spread through corals that kills humans. I've added one more ALT but at this point I do realize the phrasing is getting a bit tortured, so I say, if there's one you like best, go with that and as long as the promoter thinks it's legible too, then I'm fine with it. It's a great DYK regardless. Well done. Innisfree987 (talk) 19:39, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
I think ALT3 is fine, so I will strike the other.. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:05, 16 May 2019 (UTC)
Note: I have replaced "that's" with "that is" in ALT3; contractions should not be used in hooks. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:35, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
