- ... that fatherhood comedy Starbuck took its title from a Holstein bull that sired over 200,000 cows through artificial insemination?
- Source: Tom McSorley in International Film Guide 2012 quote "Starbuck then unfolds its amusing meditation on the meaning of parenthood, community, and, in Daniel's prodigious case, fatherhood." Allociné (in French) Anecdotes du film Starbuck quote: "Starbuck, le surnom de David Wosniak et le titre du film lui-même viennent du taureau canadien légendaire Hanoverhill Starbuck. Ce taureau exceptionnel, à la génétique quasi-parfaite, a révolutionné le monde de l'insémination artificielle" trans.: "Starbuck, the nickname of David Wosniak and the title of the film itself come from the legendary Canadian bull Hanoverhill Starbuck. This exceptional bull, with near-perfect genetics, revolutionized the world of artificial insemination". Chris Knight in "Give a little, get a lot" National Post, ProQuest 893965672 quote "The film takes its name from the Holstein bull that sired more than 200,000 female offspring during its 19-year life."
- ALT1: ... that comedy film Starbuck and the Holstein bull the film took its title from both had cloned remakes? Source: As above plus: Chris Knight, quote: "two years after Starbuck's death, scientists in Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., produced a clone of the bull ... Similarly, Scott has already been approached about an English-language clone of this fabulously funny film." and Peter Debruge, Variety, "Remake Delivers the Goods ProQuest 1467441689 quote: "writer-director Ken Scott, who's already told this story once before in the charming French-language hit "Starbuck." Now, working in Hollywood, he demonstrates the good sense not to mess with success, engineering what amounts to a scene-for-scene remake of that earlier feel-good outing"

Reviewing...Done Wow. I'm quite surprised to find this article improved two weeks after reading its underdeveloped version. Nineteen Ninety-Four guy (talk) 08:25, 4 January 2025 (UTC)- Review on Starbuck (film) (passed): The article has been expanded five-fold: it was 3342 characters pre-expansion and is 18265 characters now. Furthermore, it's more than well sourced, neutral, MoS-compliant, and copyvio-free. Images are properly licensed, with fair-use ones used with contextual significance. QPQ has been provided and hook is cited and interesting on its own, though I strongly prefer ALT1. While I'm approving this nomination, consider expanding the lede on the theme and production sections. Nineteen Ninety-Four guy (talk) 11:05, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- I added a sentence to the second paragraph of the lead on writing and themes. Is that roughly what you wanted to see? BTW, are you going to review Hanoverhill Starbuck as well? Oh, and do you think that ALT1 is strong enough for April Fools'? – Reidgreg (talk) 15:05, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- The expansion is good, thanks. As to whether ALT1 is strong enough for WP:DYKAPRIL, I would say yes, should be witty enough for the occasion. Will be reviewing the other one shortly, I forgot this was a double nomination. On that note, I shall revert my approved tick. Sorry Nineteen Ninety-Four guy (talk) 15:27, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Review on Hanoverhill Starbuck (passed): The article has 4873 characters and was moved to mainspace on the day of the nomination, thus it's new enough and long enough. It covers its subject with impartiality and with attribution to high-quality sources, and no copyvio concerns were detected upon some manual checking on sources I have access to. QPQ has been provided and hook is cited and interesting on its own. All in all, both nominations should be good to go, with strong preference to ALT1.
