Star Trek Memories
[edit]- ... that William Shatner (pictured) was shocked by the negative feelings of the Star Trek cast when he interviewed them for his book, Star Trek Memories?
- Reviewed: Townsend's vole
5x expanded by Miyagawa (talk). Self nominated at 20:02, 22 October 2014 (UTC).
- 5x expansion checks, passes DYK Check, good cites including hook. It does leave me curious just what the "negative reaction" was, which seems like the whole purpose of a hook. Maury Markowitz (talk) 00:02, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Maury Markowitz: this review needs clarification on elements such as copyvio and image licensing details. G S Palmer (talk • contribs) 00:14, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- Image is CC-by-SA and I didn't see any copyvio. Maury Markowitz (talk) 13:30, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
- I'm concerned that the article focuses almost exclusively on the negative reactions to Shatner. The cited sources do support this, but I wonder if a broader treatment of the reviews would make the article more balanced. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 03:41, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- A very valid question, for the article talk page. DYK is not PR. Maury Markowitz (talk) 13:47, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- It does still need to meet WP:NPOV, especially since it involves a living person. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 05:13, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- Directly cited in the sources. The statement, and the citations, all say the same thing. Unless you provide an equal number of counterexample cites to explain why "you wonder", I refer you to this. Maury Markowitz (talk) 12:16, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- How about this toned down version: Alt1: ... that William Shatner (pictured) was surprised by the responses of the Star Trek cast when he interviewed them for his book, Star Trek Memories? Miyagawa (talk) 07:04, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- The original hook is fine, my comment was about the article. I wasn't looking to put up a stink, I just wanted to point out that the reviewer needs to be satisfied that the article meets NPOV to approve the article. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 00:56, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
- No stink assumed, I just wanted to be sure it didn't go off the rails. Maury Markowitz (talk) 14:35, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
