Sprague Fire
[edit]- ... that on August 31, 2017 the historic Sperry Chalet was almost completely destroyed during the Sprague Fire in Glacier National Park, Montana?
- ALT1: ... that during the Sprague Fire in Glacier National Park, the historic Sperry Chalet completely burned, leaving only the stone exterior walls standing?

- This article is long enough but not really new enough, having been created on 4th September and nominated on 22nd September, way outside the 7 days allowed by DYK rules. However this is one of the rules that has some flexibility and one might argue that, as an ongoing event, the article could not have been nominated until the wildfire position had stabilised. So I will accept the nomination as new enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. The facts of both hooks are acceptable, there is just the problem of stating that something is completely burned when its exterior walls remain standing. The QPQ check shows that you have had six DYKs, the most recent one in 2014. At that time, I don't think it was necessary to review another editor's nomination, but it is now a requirement to do a QPQ review if you have five or more DYKs. When you have done a review, I will finish this review. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:01, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
- QPQ review has been done and this is good to go with ALT1. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:50, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but I don't see where in the article it says that the chalet was completely burned leaving only the stone exterior walls standing. Could you point it out to me? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 23:22, 28 September 2017 (UTC)
