Shalimar Sharbatly
[edit]- ... that Shalimar Sharbatly was the first woman to be commissioned by the government of Saudi Arabia to do street artwork? Source: صور ماجد المصري يحن لمهنته القديمة في باريس بسبب زوجة خالد يوسف السعودية "(translated) She is the first Saudi woman and artist to be assigned by the Saudi government to paint paintings and statues in the famous main streets. Jeddah, and paintings still exist to this day among the most famous paintings in Saudi Arabia."
- ALT1:... that Shalimar Sharbatly's hand-painted Porsche 911 was featured at the Grand Prix de Monaco, Hotel Negresco, Paris Motor Show, and the Louvre? Source: Louvre art gallery displays Shalimar Sharbatly’s latest artwork on the 'Tork' "Shalimar participated with it for the first time in the “Formula one Monaco”. It was then displayed in (Hotel Negresco), the hotel that’s considered as the most vintage hotel in France, and was placed in the lobby beside the important art works of great artists. The third station to show her work was the Louvre museum, which chose mini samples based on her art on the Formula One Monaco to be placed at the forefront of the gallery, as well as displaying the Porsche – one of her most important artworks - in the gallery’s main hall."

- Interesting life and work, on good sources, Arabic sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. I prefer the original hook. If ALT1, I suggest to just mention Louvre, not all these distracting places ;) - In the article, please combine the many short paragraphs to a bit larger units. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:56, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- ALT2:... that Shalimar Sharbatly's hand-painted Porsche 911 was featured at the Louvre?
- Done I combined a few sentences with similar themes, however left ones that wouldn't really fit with each other (i.e, spouse). Thanks, Toreightyone (talk) 14:09, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- thank you! If only we could have an image of the car ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:02, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- I understand that you had one DYK credit and are still free from reviewing, right? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:03, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
- I believe I technically have two as I currently have an approved nomination for a different article, so this would be my third. Regarding the image, I have sent out a few emails requesting permission, hopefully I can snag one before it appears on the front page. Thanks, Toreightyone (talk) 22:21, 21 March 2018 (UTC)
