Shadow the Hedgehog

[edit]
  • Comment: Feel free to suggest alt hooks

Improved to Good Article status by TheJoebro64 (talk). Self-nominated at 01:38, 12 March 2019 (UTC).

  • The article was promoted to GA on March 11 and nominated for DYK on time. A QPQ is not needed. The hook is supported by two inline citations, one of which is online and checks out perfectly.
(I find the hook interesting enough. I do feel it can be improved or substituted with a hookier one, but I'm probably not the right person for the task. I've read the article now, but I can't think of anything. If you suddenly come up with a better wording or even a different hook, just let me know, I'll gladly review and tick it.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 20:05, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
As an additional note. I've just noticed that technically the 2011 interview with Takashi Iizuka doesn't say "recurring", it just says they brought Shadow back in Sonic Heroes and "eventually" created an own game for him. But anyway, the Shadow the Hedgehog article as a whole perfectly demonstrates that the character is recurrent. --Moscow Connection (talk) 20:25, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
  • @Moscow Connection: thanks for taking a look! I feel like the current hook is probably one of the most notable and interesting, but if something better pops up I'll change it. As for the "recurring" part, that's in the book The History of Sonic which is cited in the article; it contains the quote "Shadow was at first scheduled to make only one appearance - in Sonic Adventure 2 - but he later became a recurring character in the Sonic universe thanks to his strong popularity among players" on page 248. • Okay, thank you for the explanation! Everything is great, then. --Moscow Connection (talk) 23:10, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
