Insufficient progress toward resolving outstanding issues

Sergey Shishkarev[edit]

  • ... that Russian politician and businessman Sergey Shishkarev fought traffic police corruption by changing the legislation on vehicle registration?

  • This is not a full review. I just want to point out that as a DYK rule of thumb, every paragraph should have at least one inline citation. Several paragraphs are unreferenced. Schwede66 17:46, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
  • I have now reviewed the article. It's new and long enough. It is insufficiently referenced and several paragraphs lack any references, and somebody else placed an 'unreferenced BLP section' template. The other issue is that prose and grammar will have to be tidied up before this can go onto the front page. Most of the references used are in Russian, including those that cover the hook fact. I'm somewhat concerned about the referencing. Examples:
  • "In early 1993 Shikarev founded the Delo Group"[ref 2] - this reference does neither state that Shikarev founded Delo Group, nor that Delo Group was founded in 1993, but it talks about Shikarev co-owning Delo Group instead.
  • "On 2 December 2007 he was re-elected for a third term"[ref 6] - that reference doesn't talk about elections at all.
  • No close paraphrasing concerns. This needs more work. If the above issues can be addressed, I also recommend that somebody who can read the Russian language sources has a look at this. Schwede66 18:23, 22 November 2012 (UTC)
