Seattle head tax

[edit]

  • This impressive new article is long enough and new enough. Approving ALT1, as the original hook doesn't seem accurate as written. The ALT1 hook facts are sourced inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:49, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
  • @Cwmhiraeth: Added an ALT2 that is a bit more verbatim from The Seattle Times. Either hook is fine, but it's a bit of a waste to throw out an interesting hook. SounderBruce 06:01, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
@SounderBruce: My objection to ALT0 and ALT2 is that the threat made by Amazon was in connection with the proposal of the head tax rather than the passing of the measure. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:23, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
Ah, then I've re-written ALT2. I had the timeline jumbled in my head. SounderBruce 06:27, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote ALT2, but the word "pause" is a bit unusual and is straight out of the source. What do you think of substituting "suspend", "delay", "cease", "halt", or "stop"? Yoninah (talk) 21:28, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
  • I've changed the word to "halt". SounderBruce 22:43, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you. I fixed it in the article too. Restoring tick per Cwmhiraeth's review. Yoninah (talk) 22:51, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
