- This article is new enough and long enough. It is neutral and I detected no policy issues. I don't like any of the hooks much. The reference for ALT0 does not support the claim that he was 33 years old and ALT1 is intriguing but is too negative to be acceptable for a DYK hook about a living person. ALT2 may be alright when you add the fact of his brother's position in the NDC to the article rather than just calling him a stalwart. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:55, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @Cwmhiraeth:, thanks for the review. Your points have been noted and addressed by adding other refs to the hooks. I have suggested another one below. Please review it again. Thanks once again. His brother's ministerial material has also been added to the stalwart .CrossTemple Jay 10:32, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
- ALT3:... that when Samuel Jinapor was appointed deputy Chief of Staff aged 33, some felt that his family's closeness to the opposition NDC would compromise him? Source: [5], [6], [7]
- Thank you. Approving ALT3 and ALT0 as good to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 10:54, 15 December 2017 (UTC)
- The same QPQ has already been used for Template:Did you know nominations/Hassan Ahmed (Ghanaian diplomat). Yoninah (talk) 20:42, 1 January 2018 (UTC)
- The nominator has not edited on Wikipedia since January 16. In the interests of moving this along, I'm donating one of my QPQs: Template:Did you know nominations/Eleri Rees. Restoring tick for ALT3 per Cwmhiraeth's review. Yoninah (talk) 22:57, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
- Pulled from prep per WT:DYK#Unacceptable source for hook in prep 3; said source is clearly written by a columnist with an ax to grind, not a properly neutral news source, which raises significant BLP issues. Not only is a new hook needed, but as noted in that discussion, the article needs to be gone over carefully and revised to meet WP:BLP, as the subject of the article is a living person. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:04, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
- It has been a couple of weeks since the nomination was pulled from prep due to sourcing issues and a need for the article to undergo extensive revision to address BLP issues. The nominator was pinged on their talk page at that time, and has made only a pair of edits on Wikipedia since then, but on another article rather than this one. Marking for closure; if the nominator returns to post here and work on the article before this closes, the review can resume at that time. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:21, 12 February 2018 (UTC)
