SSA impersonation scam
- ... that in the three months preceding November 2020, almost half of Americans were subject to an SSA impersonation scam robocall? Source: "Nearly half of Americans were targeted by a Social Security scam in the three months prior to November 2020" ([1])
- ALT1:... that in 2019 over $37 million USD were lost by victims of the SSA impersonation scam? Source: "That’s as individuals reported losing almost $153 million to government imposter schemes in 2019, according to the Federal Trade Commission. Of that, more than $37 million was attributed to Social Security scams.") ([2])

- N.B. I've got no DYK's, so I think I'm exempt from QPQ (but if I'm wrong then ping me here). Thanks, Pahunkat (talk) 19:36, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
- Date, length and hook all OK (my preference is for the original). QPQ is not needed as this is the first nomination. No close paraphrasing. Good to go. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 21:05, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
