Roger Townshend (died 1590)
[edit]- ... that Sir Roger Townshend's portrait was among those on a tapestry commemorating the destruction of the Spanish Armada which hung in the House of Lords until the tapestry was destroyed by fire in 1834?

- New enough, long enough, well sourced, hook fact is confirmed in the Dictionary of National Biography (Norgate) source. I have conducted brief spotchecks for copyvio and close paraphrasing, and have no concerns. No BLP implications. Hook is adequately interesting (perhaps slightly more than adequate). --Demiurge1000 (talk) 23:39, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
