Ritz Ballroom
[edit]- ... that a dance at the Ritz Ballroom scheduled for May 22, 1955 featuring Fats Domino was cancelled by the Bridgeport Police Department, citing worries about rioting over rock and roll music?

- Long enough, clearly written, adequately referenced, hook fact is interesting and supported by ref., and I found no over-close paraphrasing. Expansion by Markvs88 was more than fivefold and began on December 14, the day before nomination; however, the article was created on December 13 as a 2-line stub by Twillisjr, so I think the creator should get a credit too.
