Race, ethnicity and religion in censuses

[edit]

Created/expanded by Futurist110 (talk). Self nom at 06:39, 26 November 2012 (UTC)

I now did both the first part (I reviewed this--Template:Did you know nominations/Julia Alapai) and the second part of what you said. Futurist110 (talk) 03:04, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Good, but the article still has numerous errors. For example, under San Marino section it talks about Argentina and few other similar errors that I've found. I also wanna add a map that will show the countries and the last census that counted people by ethnicity or race.--Երևանցի ասելիք կա՞ 03:34, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
I fixed the San Marino error and all other errors that I could find. I also eliminated all census references to religion throughout this article by now. Do I really need to make a map? Also, is my article long enough? Thank you very much. Futurist110 (talk) 08:55, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
I didn't say you need a map, I just wanted to add a map by myself. This has nothing to do with the nomination, I was just wondering that the map will be good.
The length. On November 1st the article had a about 6,500 characters and as of now it has 25,205. So it wasn't expanded 5 times. About 7,000 characters are needed.--Երևանցի ասելիք կա՞ 20:28, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
  • To be more precise, according to DYKcheck, the article had 6112 prose characters on November 1, the last edit before the current expansion began (on November 24). To achieve a 5x expansion, 30560 prose characters will be needed, and DYKcheck puts the latest total at 24161: you'll need to add another 6399 prose characters. What about right now? Futurist110 (talk) 08:23, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
28230. Please see WP:DYKCHECK for information on how to find the size yourself. BlueMoonset (talk) 12:17, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
It should be good to go right now when it comes to character count. Futurist110 (talk) 09:03, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
According to BlueMoonset it's 32,500 now. So good to go!
Yerevanci, there were other issues (and errors) you noted above: can you please confirm that these are all fixed and that the article meets all the other DYK criteria, including inline citations and close paraphrasing? I see that the QPQ has been completed. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:39, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Yes, the issues I mentioned above have been fixed. I forgot to clarify that.--Երևանցի ասելիք կա՞ 21:02, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
Restoring Yerevanci's tick, which had been put in abeyance by my query. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:59, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
