Prothrombin G20210A

[edit]
  • Comment: The sentence that the hook is sourced to combines two primary sources: Heterozygous factor V Leiden carriers or prothrombin 20210A carriers have a 15- to 30-fold increased risk of thrombosis when they use oral contraceptives.84,105[1] The abstract of the factor V Leiden paper (ref 84) gives an increased incidence of 34.7-fold, while the G20210 paper (105) gives an increased incidence of 16.3-fold, thus the range in the italicized sentence above.

  • At 1620 bits (250 words) I think this scrapes past the length criterion. It also passes on date of creation, sourcing and hook. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:23, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
