  • The article is new and long enough and is within policy (neutral, well cited, free of plagiarism/copyright violations based on numerous spot checks). The hook is short enough and is cited. I wish, however, the hook were more exciting - perhaps someone would disagree. Looking at the article and the source, even adding something about the crash or protests which led to the commissioning of the report would make it more interesting. Another alternative could be something about how he designed bridges in the UK and Australia. What do you think? Smmurphy(Talk) 02:46, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi Smmurphy, thanks for the review. How about one of the following? - Dumelow (talk) 11:14, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
I like both of those better. Sadly, I think the first alt improves on the original hook based on the if it bleeds it leads principle. The second alt is less bloody, and is good as well. Is there one you prefer? Also, the last two sentences of the article about his marriage and death should, I think, be in their own paragraph. Smmurphy(Talk) 12:21, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, I don't mind which hook is used - I am happy to leave it up to the selector. I have split out the info on his personal life in the article - Dumelow (talk) 12:26, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
