Pavlovian-instrumental transfer

[edit]
  • Comment: This is my first DYK nomination. ALT1 is slightly more precise, but less accessible to a general audience.

Created by Seppi333 (talk). Self-nominated at 22:50, 22 May 2017 (UTC).

  • The lead is too long and the lead should summarize the article. Maybe work the lead into sections. The Dieting section is blank. The end of the Addiction section is unreferenced, but it is strangely a copyvio of this YouTube video description. SL93 (talk) 05:54, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
@SL93: I've moved the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs of the lead under a new level 2 heading; the original 1st lead paragraph adequately summarizes the article text as is.
The youtube video that you linked to is actually a copyvio of what I wrote in the motivational salience article prior to the upload date of that video (e.g., see the revision of that article as of March 2016; Wikipedia is supposed to be attributed when its content is republished externally, but the uploader clearly didn't do that.
I intend to expand the dieting section a little later since I don't have time right now. FWIW, three of the references in that article currently include a quote that mentions how PIT affects hunger and food consumption. Seppi333 (Insert ) 06:16, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank for for clarifying the YouTube video. SL93 (talk) 06:19, 5 June 2017 (UTC)
  • Article new enough, long enough, fully referenced. QPQ done. Hook and text verified against online sources. Good to go.BabbaQ (talk) 08:50, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
  • The dieting section is still blank. SL93 (talk) 15:14, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
  • @SL93: I'm not sure if I'm supposed to comment on a nomination after it's been accepted, but I figured I'd mention that I just expanded the dieting section with what was quoted in the existing refs. I don't really have much time to sift through what I read earlier and expand this section further until next month because I'm extremely busy off-wiki at the moment. • I just removed the expand section tag. Replacing tick. SL93 (talk) 18:17, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
