  • This article is new enough and long enough. I am approving the original hook but not ALT1, because that hook mentions multiple awards but the article does not (they are mentioned in the infobox, but need a reference). The hook facts have inline citations, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. I believe you have fewer than five DYKs and do not need to do a QPQ review. • Hi, I came by to promote this, but do not see any inline cites for the names of the wars he participated in. Yoninah (talk) 17:42, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
  • I've just struck the original hook, which is 230 characters including spaces, far more than the maximum 200 allowed. Please come up with a shorter hook. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:49, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
@BlueMoonset:, * ALT2: ... that the Imperial Russian general of the infantry Paul Bashutsky served during numerous stages of the Napoleonic Wars? What do you think? - LouisAragon (talk) 22:12, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
@Yoninah:, just dropped a few more inline refs. Should be good now. - LouisAragon (talk) 22:12, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
  • @LouisAragon: but you're saying the same thing. "X is Y" is not considered a hooky fact. Perhaps you could add more description to the article and build a hook around that? Yoninah (talk) 00:00, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah:, in theory there should be more than enough information in the article to build a hook around. Its just that I'm still pretty much a noob regarding this. Anyways, my last attempt. What about (ALT5 already)
  • Yes, that works! It also has a nice suggestiveness to it that the events were related. The hook ref is verified and cited inline. Rest of review per Cwmhiraeth. ALT5 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 14:44, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
Haha, at last! Thanks for your time Yoninah :-) - LouisAragon (talk) 16:43, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
