Palokë Nika

[edit]

Created by PoshteMorriKuq (talk). Self-nominated at 17:56, 14 August 2015 (UTC).

  • Length is fine, dates are good, tone is neutral, QPQ is confirmed, close paraphrasing is AGF presumed avoided during the translation from the Albanian-language source to the English-language article, and there are inline citations present in the article. However, the entire article except for the very last sentence is cited solely to one Albanian-language source. The hook fact is only partially present in the article (it does say he founded KF Vllaznia Shkodër but only says he helped organize a match involving KF Tirana). As "one of the most notable figures in organized sports in Albania" sourcing for the biography from at least one additional reliable third-party source should be easily found. I've tweaked a few phrases but language would use a light additional polish from a native English speaker. - Dravecky (talk) 09:12, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Please see additions from source which says: "Me 1920 organizova ne Tirane skuadren e futbollit dhe e trajnon vete, ndersa kapiten eshte Erebara". In English: In 1920 he organizes the Tirana football team, which he himself coaches, while Erebara is captain." As far as reliance on a single source, now there is a second source, which covers around 70% of the article. Btw, please don't assume that sources are easy to be found. Nika was heavily obscured by communist Albania for various reasons, mainly his bourgeois roots, a fact that I did not add in the article, because I don't want the article to be having any controversies at this stage, however, I want to make the point that the sources were silent for 50 years, and it has been talked about him only in the last 20 years. In addition (and this is not related to any comment you made) I expect a picture to be added, as I have asked for the rights to it to be relieved from a website that currently owns them. • NB: Article creator has only been making registered edits with this account for about 4 weeks and QPQ check shows no hook credits yet. This makes the QPQ review welcome but not required just yet. - Dravecky (talk) 09:16, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Article is significantly improved, additional apparently reliable source is in place, and my concerns are all addressed. I apologize for making light of the struggle to find sources under what must be difficult circumstances. Thank you for bringing this person's contributions to sport into the public eye once again. Good to go, AGF due to Albanian-language sources. - Dravecky (talk) 05:26, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
