While first article (Orlando Quevedo) does meet criteria the second (Chibly Langlois) is only about 550 characters long and will need to be beefed up as well as referenced for claims made within it. Alternatively, could be dropped from the DYK nom all together. Djflem (talk) 20:52, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
- Dropped Chibly Langlois and reverted to original.--Theparties (talk) 01:33, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
Statement about Mindanao population is not supported by any reference. Djflem (talk) 07:57, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
- Fixed.--Theparties (talk) 04:01, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Please review DYK nomination policy/hook requirements, which specifically states that there must be an inline citation for the claim being made within it. There is no mention of Luis Antonio Tagle in reference given. Djflem (talk) 09:32, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry. I did not read it. Fixed anyway.--Theparties (talk) 23:40, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
Not fixed, again. Statement not supported by inline reference. Djflem (talk) 20:41, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- I'm truly sorry. I did not realize that the source did not mention that. I am going to be diligent next time and read the source first. I have added the source right now.--Theparties (talk) 23:05, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
- Review needed now that the new sourcing (rappler.com is specific) affirms that Quevedo is the first cardinal from Mindanao. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:52, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
- Article is new enough, long enough, adequately referenced, no close paraphrasing seen. ALT3 hook ref verified and cited inline. I think this hook should run on February 22, when the new cardinals are installed, to maintain the "is the first" present-tense construction. ALT3 good to go.
