[edit]- ... that, until the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Norwood Tower held the only public restroom open to African Americans in downtown Austin, Texas? Throughout the period of segregation in Austin, before the Civil Rights Act of 1964, African American dignitaries ... would call ... at the Norwood Building to get a drink of water and use his bathroom, as it was the only facility available to them." ("National Register of Historic Places Registration Form (10001224)" (PDF). Texas Historical Commission. February 7, 2011.)
- ALT1:... that the 1929 Norwood Tower is the first fully air-conditioned office building and the only Gothic Revival skyscraper in Austin, Texas? Source: "The Norwood Building, designed by the noted Texas architectural firm of Giesecke & Harris and constructed in 1929, is the only Gothic Revival- or Commercial Gothic-styled tall building in the city of Austin. ... According to newspapers of the time, it was the first office building in Austin built to be fully air-conditioned." ("National Register of Historic Places Registration Form (10001224)" (PDF). - New, in time, long enough, sourced, inline hook citations check out, no apparent copyvios, QPQ done. Approving ALT0. Bryanrutherford0, for ALT1 to work, two sentences (about air conditioning, and about being the only Gothic Revival skyscraper) would need inline citations. --Usernameunique (talk) 06:46, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
