Neşet Ertaş

[edit]

Created/expanded by CeeGee (talk). Self nom at 16:02, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

  • Good to go on fivefold expansion. Hook length good. AGFing on plagiarism and such due to language barrier. Hook length good. Looks set. Abyssal (talk) 16:05, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
  • The article needs a good copyedit, as the use of English is a bit shaky throughout, and I thought care also needed to be taken regarding WP:PEACOCK. There is no such word as "footside", which is used in both hook and article. BlueMoonset (talk) 21:52, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
  • I don't think the article is overly peacocky. I'll agree with some of the prose could use a copyedit, though. This should be a quick and easy cleanup. Abyssal (talk) 02:00, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
ALT-1 ... that the last will of the renowned Turkish folk singer Neşet Ertaş was to be buried at the foot end of his father, also a well-known folk singer? CeeGee 08:56, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
Reworded article and hook according to User:BlueMoonset's complaint. For the required copyedit, I kindly ask a WP-senior editor for help. Thanks in advance. CeeGee 08:56, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
Did some copyediting. Abyssal (talk) 14:32, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
This should be good to go. Abyssal (talk) 14:06, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but this still needs more work. The phrase "foot end of his father" is only a slight improvement; "at the foot of his father's grave" is a possible fix. There are still a large number of issues with the prose, and another copyeditor should be found to fix them. BlueMoonset (talk) 14:27, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
Copyedited, and according to CeeGee on my talk, I guessed right about what the sources were saying. Re-review considering ALT2 requested. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:55, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
The article is much improved but I'm puzzled to see "foot end" still in both new hook and article even after I singled it out as substandard. Trying an ALT3 to remove the problematic phrase:
  • Still needs full review. Have struck earlier hooks due to their problematic phrasing. BlueMoonset (talk) 23:20, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
  • Five-fold expansion, long enough, new enough when submitted. Hook fact accepted in good faith. I have rearranged ALT3 slightly but the meaning is unchanged. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:01, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
