Merit (Buddhism)

[edit]
  • ... that in Buddhism, doing good deeds, called merit-making, is seen as a form of saving for the future? ([1])

    • ALT1:... that Buddhist teachings on doing good deeds, called merit-making, stimulated the development of print technology in China? Source: "Indeed, it is likely that Buddhist practices of producing texts for merit were a central impetus in the development of print technology in China." • This is a newly promoted GA and is new enough and long enough. I have rewritten the original hook to ALT0a; it is interesting and has an inline citation. The ALT1 hook is also acceptable. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:51, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
