Meena Kumari (book)
... that a 1972 book detailing the life of Indian actress Meena Kumari was written with help from those who personally knew her when she was alive?- ALT1:... that the 1972 book detailing the life of Indian actress Meena Kumari, which was criticised for grammatical mistakes and as "a poor caricature of the actress", was a second edition?
- ALT2:... that before her 40th birthday, Meena Kumari had appeared in 90 films, she had died and someone had written her biography?

- It has enough refs (I added one I thought was needed). Its an unusual subject which is intriguing. Not keen on alt0 as it appears to say that he spoke to people who knew her (which seems obvious). QPQ is done. You describe this "atrocious narrative" neutrally. Its long enough and (mainly offline) sources seem mostly appropriate. I suggest Alt2 but I cannot tick it, I can't say that the (shuffled) Alt1 is OK as it appears to be based on a Jabberwocky blog. (better source?) Thank you SL93 for the nom. - Victuallers I'm confused. You removed my comment and ALT1 is based on a Business Line source. The Jabberwock source is for something else, but it is acceptable per Wikipedia's guidelines because the author is notable enough for an article at Jai Arjun Singh. SL93 (talk) 16:52, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Never mind part of that. Part of it is based on the Jabberwock source which is still acceptable. Per WP:SELFPUB, "Self-published expert sources may be considered reliable when produced by an established subject-matter expert, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications."SL93 (talk) 16:55, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: I prefer your alt so I will see if someone else will approve it. SL93 (talk) 15:23, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- Oh dear, never intended to remove your edit (I wouldn't do that) Victuallers (talk) 17:15, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

- SL93 thanks for link to WP:SELFPUB, OK! Sorry about the edit confusion. Summarising... IMO. Alt0 is not interesting enough. Alt1 is fine. Alt2 needs a another editor to tick. Thanks! Victuallers (talk) 17:45, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- I am fine with either ALT1 or ALT2, but if ALT2 is chosen, it should probably be ALT2a ... that before her 40th birthday, Meena Kumari had appeared in 90 films, she had died and someone had written her biography after her death? Of course it would still need a new approver. SL93 (talk) 23:16, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
