... that Catalonia's first female pilot at 17 years old, Maria Josep Colomer i Luque flew thousands of Republicans out of Franco-occupied Spain at the end of the Spanish Civil War? Source: RTVE
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation

Interesting:
QPQ: Done.
Overall: Somewhat high percentage on the Earwig copyvios tool, but this is acceptable as the text that is copied verbatim are mostly direct quotes from Colomer herself and the article writer. Main hook and ALT2 are cited to Spanish-language sources accepted in good faith. For ALT1, neither the article nor the cited Guardian obituary mentions "London" so that hook would need to be modified. I'd note that this nomination may work well for International Women's Day (March 8). feminist (talk) 06:02, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
@Feminist:Question on where "London" is mentioned in the article? I didn't write London anywhere, I don't think... If it's the link to The Blitz, that page opens with "The Blitz was a German bombing campaign against the United Kingdom" and notes in the lead several cities, some hundreds of miles from London, that were hit. Kingsif (talk) 21:08, 4 March 2020 (UTC) The 'London' above - it's been removed, blame tiredness I guess, I didn't even realize. Kingsif (talk) 21:23, 4 March 2020 (UTC)
for ALT1. I'll leave the choice for the promoter. Kingsif, is there a reason why an image is not used for this nomination? Also, would you prefer to have this run on March 8 or March 31? I'm moving this under March 31. feminist (talk) 02:52, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
@Feminist: I guess if the last hook is used, the image of her recreating the jump could be used, but I just thought that the newspaper cover may seem unusual with no hook mentioning it specifically. And I don't always nominate with images, only if I think they're really good or mentioned in the hook. Kingsif (talk) 12:15, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
Right, I was thinking running the last hook on March 31 with the image of her recreating her jump. That would likely generate quite a few page views. Take this as an approval of the image. feminist (talk) 14:03, 5 March 2020 (UTC)
In line with that, how about tweaking the parenthesis in alt2? Kingsif (talk) 12:27, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, that works. feminist (talk) 13:59, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
@Kingsif: we're running another special occasion hook in the image slot on March 31. Is this date really necessary? Otherwise we could run it with the image a different day. Yoninah (talk) 19:18, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
@Yoninah: No, I don't mind! Preferably March for WHM, but another day is fine. Kingsif (talk) 19:27, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks. Actually, March 31 just opened up again. I'll take care of it when more prep sets open up. Yoninah (talk) 21:23, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
