Marathwada Liberation Day

[edit]

Created by Human3015 (talk). Self-nominated at 19:05, 23 September 2015 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough. Hook short enough and sourced, but written very poorly - read on. No neutrality problems found, no copyright problems found. QPQ unnecessary and image properly licensed. I'd like to see a copyedit carried out before I approve this, as both it and the hook are written very poorly indeed. If you ask the copyeditor, (s)he may submit a hook for you.--Launchballer 00:21, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
@Launchballer: Thanks for your kind review. I have done some copy-edit in the article. I hope that is enough. I will provide alternative hooks.
ALT1:...that, India became independent on 15 August 1947, but Marathwada region became part of India when it was liberated on 17 September 1948?

ALT2;...that, India became independent on 15 August 1947 but Marathwada was not part of India until it was liberated on 17 September 1948?

I wonder why my comment didn't send? Anyway, many of the grammatical errors remain, and are largely systematic; repeated absence of 'the' after each proper noun, clunky clauses etcetera. That's why I'd like a copyedit done by the guild.--Launchballer 21:46, 24 October 2015 (UTC)

@User:Launchballer I have edited the article a little bit, perhaps you can take a look when you are free. The hook can be corrected to ALT3: ... that Marathwada did not become a part of India until it was annexed on 17 September 1948? FreeatlastChitchat (talk) 07:01, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

  • I think in accordance with the name of the article better hook can be.
ALT4: ...that Marathwada did not become part of India until it was liberated on 17 September 1948?
ALT5: Marathwada became part of India 13 months after independence of India? --Human3015TALK  07:13, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
Good to go with ALTs 3 and 4. I've fixed a couple of errors in the introduction, including comma use.--Launchballer 07:53, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
