Manuel Komnenos (son of Andronikos I)
- ... that although he was the oldest son of Byzantine emperor Andronikos I Komnenos, Manuel Komnenos was not named as heir, as he opposed his father's policies?

Hook support sentence needs a citation: Although widely acknowledged as more capable than his brother, Manuel was bypassed due to his opposition, although officially his father justified this choice with following the AIMA prophecy —valereee (talk) 15:59, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
- @Valereee: reference added directly after the sentence, and QPQ done. Constantine ✍ 08:33, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
