MagicBands

[edit]
Four MagicBands
Four MagicBands
  • ALT1:... that the first prototype for Disney's MagicBands was made of velcro, plastic liner, and a small RFID tag?
  • Comment: Nominator is QPQ exempt. Any suggestions for other hooks are welcome.

  • Comment: Struck out bought from ALT1. Elisfkc (talk) 20:30, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
  • For clarity, I've removed the struck-out "bought" from the hook, as it was confusing in place, and no one had commented on it. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:44, December 16, 2016 (UTC)
  • This article is new enough and long enough. Going for ALT0 as the better hook. The hook fact is interesting and has an inline citation. The image is appropriately licensed, the article is neutral, and neither Earwig nor I detected any close paraphrasing or other issues. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:53, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
  • The article doesn't mention anything about magnetic therapy bracelets. Yoninah (talk) 21:29, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
  • Replacing tick for ALT0 as I have tweaked the article prose to include the required information. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:54, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
  • The source says a little more about the prototype, and IMO it's more interesting for the hook. I added it to the article. What do you think about:
  • ALT3: ... that the idea for Disney's MagicBands came from a magnetic therapy bracelet found in SkyMall that claimed to ease sore muscles "while simultaneously improving one's golf swing"? Yoninah (talk) 22:23, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
  • It's in there. I'm fine with this being the hook. Elisfkc (talk) 22:31, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Thank you. As you are the nominator, you cannot give a green tick to the hook. Calling on another reviewer to approve ALT3. Pinging @Cwmhiraeth:. Yoninah (talk) 23:55, 5 January 2017 (UTC)
  • Approving ALT3, although I consider ALT0 is better, because the objectives of the SkyMall bracelet are not relevant to the purpose Disney had in mind for their MagicBand. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:50, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
I concur. It seems silly to go so into depth about something that is not that relevant for the end product and the article itself. Elisfkc (talk) 17:15, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
