  • ... that Mabel St Clair Stobart became the first women to be promoted to the rank of Major in any national army? Source:"...she to be given the rank of major. This was the first time that such a position had been offered to a woman in any army."[1]: 138

  • New, in time, long enough, inline hook citations check out, no apparent copyvios, QPQ done. Meanderingbartender, first paragraph in "First World War" needs a citation. As a general suggestion (not required for DYK), you might considering rephrasing some of the many sentences that begin with "She". --Usernameunique (talk) 15:11, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Thank you kindly for the review. Added a reference for the first paragraph. Meanderingbartender (talk) 16:09, 14 April 2018 (UTC)
  • All set with the hook. Regarding the photograph, Meanderingbartender, any information on when it is from, and whether it was ever published anywhere before online? --Usernameunique (talk) 22:19, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
No, I don't know where the photo originated from. It might be from one of her books. Only source right now is from Imperial War museum who holds her archives. Meanderingbartender (talk) 05:27, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Hi, I came by to promote this, but think you can say more about her than she was the "first". Yoninah (talk) 00:09, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: Not sure about that, being the first female Major of any national army seems pretty hook-worthy by itself for me. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:48, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
Perhaps? Everything else I come up is either too unwieldy or long. Meanderingbartender (talk) 17:23, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
  • OK, we'll stick with the original hook. Please add at least one citation to the third paragraph under "Women's Sick and Wounded Convoy Corps" and we'll be good to go. Yoninah (talk) 21:10, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Added a citation. Thank you kindly. Meanderingbartender (talk) 01:20, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
