  • Sammi Brie, you reviewed the other female breakdancer nominated for DYK. Maybe you could be interested in reviewing this one as well. And if you can think of a way of combining this into one hook, that would be superb. Schwede66 02:33, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
    • @BeanieFan11: This is mostly fine in length and hook fact presence. I note the hook fact is not cited to NBC News but an interview done by NBC's PR team, and I am not sure how I feel about that. I do need QPQ as well. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 16:17, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
  • @BeanieFan11: Please provide a QPQ or this will be closed as unsuccessful. Z1720 (talk) 15:25, 24 July 2024 (UTC)
  • Done. I'm okay-ish with the hook fact given it's part of an interview. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 03:46, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
@BeanieFan11, Sammi Brie, and Schwede66: There was a suggestion to merge this hook and Manizha Talash. I suggest ... that the Olympic breakdancers Logan Edra and Manizha Talash respectively got into the sport after seeing a video "of a man just spinning over his head" and being tricked into taking classes by her father?--Launchballer 07:27, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
That's fine by me. Schwede66 07:32, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
@Launchballer: Awkward? Yes. Workable? Probably. (Put commas around "respectively") Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 16:42, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
What, as in "that the Olympic breakdancers Logan Edra and Manizha Talash, respectively, got into the sport after seeing a video "of a man just spinning over his head" and being tricked into taking classes by her father? That feels really comma splicey. Unless I'm totally misreading WP:CINS, commas should be used if the sentence can be split in two standalone sentences and this can't - or is there another nuance I'm not aware of?--Launchballer 16:55, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
What's the need for merging the hooks? The two are the only Olympic hooks scheduled for that day. BeanieFan11 (talk) 17:08, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
I'll be honest, I saw 'this could be combined' above, and didn't stop to consider whether it should. Up to a prepbuilder, I guess.--Launchballer 17:14, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
