- Substantial article on excellent sources, no copyvio obvious. - Sorry, I would not be hooked. "sportsman" seems overly general, "ice hockey" would be more specific, and "greatest ever" is not my cup of tea, and then to something I never heard of, while he was instrumental in national and international organizations. Please. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:41, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- The generic term sportsman is correct in this situation due to the subject's involvement in softball and hockey, and since he was being honoured by a sports hall of fame and not a hockey hall of fame. Flibirigit (talk) 14:18, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you, understand - but this could mean gymnast, boxer, fencer ... - no? How about a hook that is more specific and avoids the one-person-point-of-view thing? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:59, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- I think we're going to agree to disagree on this one. A generic hook is more appealing to a broad audience, rather than a hockey-specific hook. By not mentioning the sport, it would entice readers to click the link to find out what he did. Flibirigit (talk) 15:19, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- I have no problems approving it for you, but I would not be tempted to click, - that's all. I don't believe that only hockey-interested people would read if hockey is mentioned. Sometimes I'd like to try two hooks on a subject to test responses ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:51, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
