List of Padma Bhushan award recipients (2000–09)
[edit]- ... that historian Romila Thapar had refused to accept the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award, but was still listed in the recipients of the 2000s?

- The article was expanded 5 times. It is written from a neutral POV. It is long enough. The article has inline citations. There don't appear to be any apparent copyvios. QPQ done. However, there needs to be a source for the second half of the hook that supports it directly. While Romila Thapar is listed in the chart for receiving the award and it is also mentioned in the last paragraph of the lead, there needs to be a citation for that information. Everything else looks good! Amgisseman(BYU) (talk) 22:20, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Amgisseman(BYU): Recalled the 6th ref. The ref has Thapar saying "astonished to see my name in the list of awardees because three months ago when I was contacted by the HRD ministry and asked if I would accept an award, I made my position very clear and explained my reason for declining it." §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 04:09, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
