Larry Hollyfield
[edit]- ... that UCLA Bruins basketball coach John Wooden described Larry Hollyfield as "probably the greatest physical talent on the team" during their 1971–72 championship season?
- Reviewed: 2001–02 Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team
- Comment: The "probably the greatest ..." quote was from his junior year, which was 1971–72. It's sourced in the article that he won a "championship in each of his three seasons" at UCLA.

- 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, no close paraphrasing seen. Hook ref verified and cited inline. My only question is whether the hook is "hooky" enough? In the article you prefaced this quote by citing Hollyfield's height and weight. Alternatively, you could write a hook dealing with his winning streaks. Yoninah (talk) 19:24, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Re: "hooky", considering there are fewer than 100 college basketball champions, being called the "greatest physical talent" of one of those teams seems unique, especially when the coach is also a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame. I wouldn't include the height and weight into the hook, as he's not the largest of basketball players, and the quote is more tied to his athleticism than his physical dimensions. I've provided ALT1 below as requested, but I still prefer the original one.

... that Larry Hollyfield finished his college basketball career with a championship in each of his three seasons with UCLA, and his teams had an 184–1 record since his junior year in high school?
