• ... that over a twenty-six year span the Illinois Central Railroad's Land O'Corn used self-propelled cars, steam and finally diesel locomotives?

• Long enough (2000+), new enough, within policy, and hook OK length. Hook is reasonably interesting, though I will suggest an alt that introduces the novel facts nearer the beginning. --Presearch (talk) 22:32, 20 December 2011 (UTC)

• To make the interesting parts come earlier in the hook, you could consider:
  ALT1: ... that self-propelled "Motorailers," steam and finally diesel locomotives were used over a 26 year span on the Land O'Corn run operated by the Illinois Central Railroad?
