Kogin-zashi
- ... that during the Edo period, kogin-zashi (patterns pictured) was created by peasants in the Tsugaru area to bypass local regulations on clothing? "Koginzashi embroidery". IS JAPAN COOL. Retrieved 2019-12-31.

- Date, size, refs, neutrality, hook, copyvio spotcheck, all passed and GTG. Just needs a QPQ review of another DYK. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:46, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- So far this is only my third DYK nomination so QPQ shouldn't be necessary. I'll definitely do them after my fifth. The other two DYKs I submitted were Japan National Route 279 and Japan National Route 280. (talk Mccunicano 11:29, 18 November 2019 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but keep in mind that reviewing other DYKs helps speed the entire process and benefits you too. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:35, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll figure out how to review them soon enough. Mccunicano☕️ 11:16, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but I question the sourcing. The three English-language sources that I can read are all primary or promotional websites. I would imagine that more reliable sources could be obtained in newspaper articles or books. Yoninah (talk) 23:28, 28 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for looking over the article. I replaced two of the three sources with an entry from Google Arts and Culture, the other source just backs up the claim that kogin is a traditional craft of Aomori Prefecture. Mccunicano☕️ 00:45, 30 December 2019 (UTC)

- @Yoninah and Piotrus: I found several sources. i added them to the article. I switched out the reference above. --evrik (talk) 06:13, 31 December 2019 (UTC)
- Yes ... it is. It Actually covers all the elements of the hook. Here are two more that address elements of the hook:
- "Kogin-zashi". Tohoku Standard.
- "Kogin Zashi Technique". Textile Research Centre.

- @Mccunicano, Yoninah, and Evrik: Are there any updates here? It's been several weeks since the last comments here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 06:29, 12 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Piotrus and Yoninah: Is everyone okay with the sourcing? --evrik (talk) 02:49, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
- I was fine with sourcing before and I am fine with sourcing now. Nothing here is a WP:REDFLAG requiring top notch sourcing. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 10:03, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

- Aha! "Is Japan Cool" is not the publisher; it is All Nippon Airways. I'm restoring the tick per Piotrus' review, and also adding a MUCH better image from the article. Good to go. Yoninah (talk) 23:49, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
