  • New enough, long enough, passed spot check for plagiarism. Just needs QPQ. Gatoclass (talk) 13:09, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
  • (edit conflict) New (11th), long enough, neutral, there are some instances of close paraphrasing that can be rephrased, QPQ not done. Hook has immediate ref and checks out. Some problems: (1) Does this person meet WP:NSPORT? It would seem to me that he doesn't meet the notability criteria as having not played in the major leagues. I know little about baseball so let me know if I'm missing something obvious. (2) The hook isn't very interesting. High school records are broken all the time. Is there anything else? Please ping me if I don't respond. czar  13:11, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
They don't look like instances of close paraphrasing to me, they are just hits on proper names and so on. Gatoclass (talk) 13:16, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
WP:NSPORT is an automatic qualifier for certain individuals for whom sources may not be immediately available. Cron passes WP:GNG for the depth and breadth of sources, whether or not he reaches MLB. As for the hook, it's not the most interesting to ever be posted, but I've seen (and written) duller. I'll provide QPQ today. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:17, 14 July 2014 (UTC)
@Muboshgu, checking in on that QPQ czar  16:15, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the reminder. I performed one and added it above. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:18, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
Cursory checks show that article is new enough, long enough, and within policy (as others have previously verified as well). I agree with Gatoclass that there are no close paraphrasing concerns. Notability seems OK, and no deletion discussion or tags are outstanding. QPQ now done as well. Good to go.—Bagumba (talk) 06:17, 25 July 2014 (UTC)
