  • The first thing I noticed was that there was something wrong with the dates given, but I sorted that out. However, the sentence that supports the hook - "In 1964, his essay "On Being Hawaiian" inspired the rise of the Second Hawaiian Renaissance movement." - does not have an inline citation.
