  • Date, hook, length and source all check out. I'd have perhaps mentioned in the hook that this is believed to be the second same-sex marriage done at the court, but either way, this hook as written is fine. — Hunter Kahn 14:08, 30 October 2013 (UTC)
  • At a minimum, I'd certainly recommend changing "got married" to "married Stuart Serkin" (supported in the article by a HuffPo cite), to give readers a chance at understanding why this is a big deal. Otherwise, the hook only vaguely interesting—Sandra Day O'Connor is presiding over marriages, and can do so at the Supreme Court even thought she's an ex-Justice—which may explain why the nomination is still sitting here instead of on its way to the main page.   • No objections. I didn't want the hook to amount to "Did you know he's gay?!" but that seems like a good way to indicate the interest without making a big deal over it. --BDD (talk) 17:44, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
