Jack Murray (film editor)

[edit]

Bill Gold's theatrical release poster for The Searchers.

  • ... that The Searchers (poster pictured), listed in a recent survey as the seventh greatest film ever made, was edited by Jack Murray, along with fourteen other films directed by John Ford?

  • Date and length fine. Image licensed. Hook accurate and cited. Sources reliable. In the second paragraph, I wasn't able to find the quote of "in terms of composition, lighting and editing, The Fugitive may be among the most enjoyable pictures" on the indicated page (245) of the reference. However, I did find it on page 234, so I've added that to the existing reference. You need source(s) for the first few sentences of the 2nd paragraph, as well as the last sentence. In addition, source(s) are needed for the first 2 sentences of paragraph 3. Also for the last sentence of the article, can you direct me to the source for Jack Murray, A.C.E in the 1952 credit? That you for nominating your article for DYK. Anne (talk) 18:26, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your careful review; such reviews certainly help improve an article. I think I've covered your suggestions in the current version, but let me know if there are further issues. Easchiff (talk) 01:39, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
  • Nice additional work! 2 small items: (1) we still need a ref for the last sentence of paragraph 2, and (2) we need a source for the info about What Price Glory? in paragraph 3. And then you'll be good to go! Anne (talk) 15:29, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I've added these, hopefully satisfactorily. Easchiff (talk) 10:34, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
