  • ALT1a:... to win the play-by-mail game It's a Crime, players had to first succeed as a gang leader before rising to mob boss level, and achieve victory as "Godfather"?
@evrik I really like your ALT1a recommendation. I'm fine with that. An alternative could also be add the words "award winning" before "play-by-mail game" since I believe the gaming community sees the Origins Awards as consequential and this game won two. That would be:
I'd lean toward the latter, but I'm ok with ALT1a or ALT1b. Your call. Thanks for the review. Airborne84 (talk) 23:07, 14 April 2020 (UTC)
  • New reviewer needed to check newest hooks, the first of which was proposed by the original reviewer and must be checked by someone else. Thanks. (I struck the prior hooks since they were problematic per the original reviewer.) BlueMoonset (talk) 02:13, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
  • Aarrhggh. The hook is not supported by the article. What is says is: At a certain point in games, gangs were chosen to form crime families, transitioning the game to the "boss level" Having not played the game, I have no idea how this was done. For that matter, while it says that Success led to the title of "mob boss" there is no definition of what constituted "success" in game terms, or whether this was necessary for the transition to boss level. I'm also curious about how you attained the title of Godfather and retained it. Hawkeye7 (discuss) 23:41, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
@Hawkeye7, fair points. I've further developed the text of the article in the "Gameplay" section and I believe the text with inline citations supports the hook(s) as written now—whether ALT1a, or ALT1b. Thanks for weighing in. Airborne84 (talk) 03:46, 27 April 2020 (UTC)
