- A very well-written article and interesting and succinct hook- thanks for improving Wikipedia on this topic. My question: The source says that Ismail expanded his sheikdom at the expense of the Hamdan clan. To me that seems different from saying that he established a sheikdom in territory controlled by the Hamdan clan, because it suggests that the Hamdan clan lost control of the territory. Is there a better source to justify the hook, or am I missing something in the given source? Thanks in advance, MartinPoulter (talk) 20:37, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- @MartinPoulter: Good point, Atrash took over parts of the Hamdans' territories to form his sheikhdom. How about: ALT 1 ... that Druze chieftain Ismail al-Atrash established his own sheikhdom out of territory he captured from the Hamdan clan?
- I'm going to get those QPQ reviews done today/tomorrow and write up a lead for the article. Appreciate the comments and the review. Cheers --Al Ameer (talk) 17:49, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
- The article is original, long and well-written from reliable sources. It was nominated within seven days of its creation. The hook is interesting, short, and backed up by a citation in the article. So I approve ALT1. Cheers MartinPoulter (talk) 10:52, 13 May 2016 (UTC)
