As nominator nominated this for a speedy deletion, am closing the nomination as withdrawn. (Should never use a speedy deletion on a reviewed DYK nomination.)

Ikram Qureshi

  • Article new enough, long enough, fully referenced. QPQ done. Hook and text verified against online sources. Good to go.BabbaQ (talk) 08:50, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
  • Per Vanamonde at WT:DYK#Ikram Quresh: "Ticket" in this case is a term from Indian English, meaning that Qureshi was a candidate of his party for a certain election. Thus the hook is suggesting that Qureshi was made a candidate because he supported Akhilesh Yadav in his feud with the rest of his family. This statement is itself not supported by the article, and therefore is not an acceptable hook. I have struck the hook, and a new one will be needed. After that, a new review as well, given the failure to note this problem, and also to cover neutrality and close paraphrasing in the original review. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:05, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
ALT1:...that legislator Ikram Qureshi was made a candidate for 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election for supporting chief minister Akhilesh Yadav in his family feud?

The other problem has also been addressed. @BlueMoonset: @BabbaQ:. RRD দেবজ্যোতি (talk) 17:15, 10 July 2017 (UTC)

  • We need a completely new reviewer. Given the errors in BabbaQ's original review, someone else needs to take a look at this and recheck all the DYK criteria. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:11, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
Comment-BlueMoonsetRoyroydebThe hook still focuses on the same negative perspective of the politician in question .It seems to suggest that the politician was given the ticket not based on competence but for doing favours to the former CM RADICAL SODA(FORCE) 09:55, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
I will surely modify it within a day or two. RRD দেবজ্যোতি (talk) 13:44, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
I did not know that Wikipedia edited and censored for the purpose of political correctness.BabbaQ (talk) 07:12, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
The issue is not with political correctness it is a DYK rule to not have a book dwell on the negative side of the individual in question(User:Forceradical) 10:10, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
  • I have struck the ALT1 hook due to the BLP concerns; it has been over 12 days without the promised revisions. If RRD does not provided a new hook within the next few days, the nomination will regretfully be marked for closure. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:44, 24 July 2017 (UTC)
I dont find anything more. RRD (talk) 04:49, 25 July 2017 (UTC)
