Ida O'Keeffe

[edit]
  • ... that Ida O'Keeffe, an American painter less known than her sister Georgia, is known to have said, "I'd be famous, too, if I'd have had a Stieglitz"? [1]
    • ALT1:... that Ida O'Keeffe, an American painter of landscapes and still lifes, has recently been featured in a posthumous solo exhibition entitled, "Ida O'Keeffe: Escaping Georgia's Shadow"? [2]

Interesting life, on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio ovious. Please check if you can avoid saying just Ida after she's older than a girl. Just surname, as long as it's clear she is meant and not a sister (if confusion is possible, then both first and last name), or "she". Next wish: combine refs. If only the page number is different, you don't need a new ref, but can call by name. Ask me if you don't know how. Finally: is there more about her style? - I'm not happy with the hooks yet, the first being too much on comparison to her sister, the ALT almost more so, + there should be no link from the exhibition name. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:14, 19 March 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for the review, Gerda Arendt. Nice to hear from you again. I believe I addressed your concerns with the article itself, would you give it another pass? As for your comments on style, this piece mentions naturalistic still lifes, but also says, "Unlike Georgia, Ida never developed a signature artistic style."
I'm playing around with the hooks; how do these look?
ALT2: ... that Ida O'Keeffe, an American watercolor and still life painter, is known to have said when asked about her sister's fame, "I'd be famous, too, if I'd have had a Stieglitz"? [3]
ALT3:... that Ida O'Keeffe, an American painter of naturalistic landscapes and still lifes, has recently been featured in a posthumous solo exhibition entitled, "Ida O'Keeffe: Escaping Georgia's Shadow"? [4] [5]
ALT4:... that American landscape and still life painter Ida O'Keeffe omitted her last name for her first exhibition to avoid comparison with her sister?
Let me know what you think. = paul2520 (talk) 02:07, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
thank you, I like the last best! For people who never heard her sister's name, nor Stieglitz. Thanks for changing the first name, and the combined refs! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:30, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
